Disturbing, Horrific & Unsettling TRUE Stories

  This particular story is short and to the point and not a whole lot of details are known.  So here it is... In 2014 a photographer known only as 'John' was tasked with taking photos of a U.S Navy Frigate that had been decommissioned and sent to a dry dock to be scrapped.  Before any civilian workers could board the ship, the Navy first had to send its own workers to remove any sensitive information. When that was done, civilians could board to do their job.  Because the ship was being scrapped, it no longer had power so 'John' had to rely on a flashlight to get around.  When he was finally finished taking photographs of the entire ship, he emailed the photos to his boss.  Almost immediately, 'John's' boss phoned him and asked "who's the guy with the axe?"   On February 22nd, 1970, an Australian Amateur Photograpger, John Gilipin, was taking pictures at the Sydney Airport.  One particular airplane heading for Tokyo, began to take off from the runway and Gilipin began taking photographs of its flight.  John wouldn't notice anything odd about the plane that day and when he was finished taking photographs, he headed home.  What John didn't realize was that one of his photographs would become quite famous, even though it featured something quite tragic.  On this same day, 14 year old Keith Sapsford, was also at the airport, but for a very different reason.  Keith was a fugitive...kind of.  Two weeks prior he had run away from a Catholic Boarding School, where his parents had sent him almost out of necessity for Keith's safety.  It seems, according to Keith's father, that he had a bad case of Itchy Feet.   On February 1st, 2012, 18 year old Samantha Koenig was finishing up her shift at the Common Grounds Coffee Shop in Anchorage, Alaska.  Just before 8pm, which was closing time for the shop, Samantha had one last customer who ordered a coffee at the drive-thru window.  On the surveillance camera inside the shop, Samantha is seen making the order and handing it back through the window. But then suddenly, things seem to take a turn for the worst, as Samantha is then seen backing up from the window with her hands up.   Wearing a ski mask to keep his identity concealed from the cameras, the man who was now pointing a gun at Samantha, climbed through the drive-thru window. In the summer of 2014, 28 year old Lars Mittank boarded a plane in Berlin, Germany headed for Varna, Bulgaria, where he would vacation with friends.  A few days into the trip, on July 6th, 2014, Lars and his friends were at a bar when Lars had a disagreement with other German vacationers regarding soccer.  Afterwards, Lars left the bar, alone, and was not seen for the rest of the night. The following morning he showed up at the resort he and his friends were staying at, looking like he had been in a scuffle.  According to Lars, he was beaten up by a group of Russians who were hired by the other group Lars had argued with at the bar. He had an injured jaw and a ruptured ear drum.  The group was due to fly home the flowing day but due to Lars' ear injury, he was told to wait a few days by a doctor before flying.  His friends wanted to stay with him, but Lars insisted they head home and that he would find a cheap motel to stay at for the next couple of days.  ...

On October 4th, 1940, residents of a town in China called Quzhou, noticed an odd sight.  Clay 'bombs' dropped from Japanese bombers were falling from the sky. When the bombs smashed on impact, residents then reported a brown like dust that settled on the ground and other objects. That brown dust would turn out to be fleas, and each one of those fleas (about 30,000 to a Clay bomb) all carried the bacteria Yersinia Pestis ... aka The Bubonic Plague.    Those fleas would eventually make their way into people's homes by way of their pets or on the bottom of their shoes where they would sustain flea bites. From there they would end up becoming infected. Since the Bubonic Plague is extremely contagious, it didn't take long before almost all of Quzhou, if not all of it, was wiped out in only a matter of weeks.   But where did those fleas come from?   Wu Yongning was a fearless Daredevil, who gained international fame from a dangerous, often illegal, hobby known as Rooftopping.  With his camera and selfie stick in hand, Wu would climb to dangerous, dizzying heights, alone and without any sort of safety equipment, where he would perform some crazy, heart stopping stunt from the roof of a skyscrapper and then upload his videos to a social media platform where he garnered millions of views.  He was dubbed China's First Rooftopper, and as he garnered more and more views and more and more people donated money to him, this dangerous hobby became somewhat of a career for Wu.  On November 8th, 2017, Wu would perform his final stunt and would ultimately film his own death. Details are sketchy as to why Wu made his way to the rooftop of the 62 story Skyscraper, The Huayuan International Centre in Changsha, China, but it is believed he was doing this for a contest where he could win big money from a Chinese Live Streaming ...

  Around lunch time on December 3rd, 2012, New York Post Photograher, Umar Abbassi, was making his way back to the office from a morning event, via the New York Subway system.  While on the platform waiting for the train to arrive, Abbassi noticed two men arguing with each other. Not wanting to get involved, Abassi moved further away down the platform and began looking through his photos on his digital camera.  After a couple of minutes, the arguing from the two men became louder, and other pedestrians waiting for the train began to move away from them., including Abbassi.  Suddenly, there was screaming and Abbassi looked up from his camera and sees what no one wants to see.  A Korean man named Ki-Suck Han, was now laying on the tracks in the subway well.
