Lars Mittank: YouTube's Most Famous Missing Person



In the summer of 2014, 28 year old Lars Mittank boarded a plane in Berlin, Germany headed for Varna, Bulgaria, where he would vacation with friends. 

A few days into the trip, on July 6th, 2014, Lars and his friends were at a bar when Lars had a disagreement with other German vacationers regarding soccer. 

Afterwards, Lars left the bar, alone, and was not seen for the rest of the night. The following morning he showed up at the resort he and his friends were staying at, looking like he had been in a scuffle. 

According to Lars, he was beaten up by a group of Russians who were hired by the other group Lars had argued with at the bar. He had an injured jaw and a ruptured ear drum. 

The group was due to fly home the flowing day but due to Lars' ear injury, he was told to wait a few days by a doctor before flying. 

His friends wanted to stay with him, but Lars insisted they head home and that he would find a cheap motel to stay at for the next couple of days. 

It was during this stay at the motel, The Hotel Color Varna, that Lars began acting strangely. He seemed increasingly paranoid and frightened. While he was at the hotel he called his mother, and while whispering to her on the phone, he told her he believed he was going to die, and that she should cancel his credit cards. 

On July 8th, 2014, Lars, along with his luggage, headed to the Airpirt in Varna. He visited with an airport doctor there who checked his ear and gave him the clearance to fly. However, while Lars was in the doctor's office, a construction worker, who was working on site at the airport came in to the doctor's office. 

Suddenly, without warning, Lars jumped up from his seat and was reported to say " I don't want to die!" He then fled out of the doctor's office, leaving his luggage behind. 

His flight from the doctor's office was captured on the airport security cameras, as was him leaving the airport. He is then seen running across the airport parking lot, where he is seen jumping the fence and into a nearby wooded area. 



Despite this video being seen by millions of people on YouTube, Lars has never been seen or heard from again. 

About a year after Lars ran out of the airport, a truck driver who saw the clip, claims he picked up a young man who matched Lars' description who traveled with him for a few hours and then was let off at a truck stop. This story, however, has never been confirmed.

He Sewed Her Eyes Open

  On February 1st, 2012, 18 year old Samantha Koenig was finishing up her shift at the Common Grounds Coffee Shop in Anchorage, Alaska.  Just before 8pm, which was closing time for the shop, Samantha had one last customer who ordered a coffee at the drive-thru window.  On the surveillance camera inside the shop, Samantha is seen making the order and handing it back through the window.   THE DEMON CORE  On May 30th, 1946, Canadian Physicist, Louis Slotin, died at a Los Alamos, New Mexico Hospital.
